Hawaiian History Towel Collection

Our Hawaiian History Towel Collection brings together original artwork and primary source storytelling in a way that allows everyday items to become teaching tools. Each towel features a unique historical theme drawn from the rich heritage of Hawaiʻi, including aliʻi leadership, early missionary journeys, traditional life in the ahupuaʻa, and the stories of Hawaiian Christian pioneers.

Every design is created in a mid century modern style inspired by archival photographs, engravings, and cultural motifs. Each piece is designed by artist John Stout of Moʻolelo Kūʻiʻo. These towels are both practical and educational. They are meant to be used in your home, taken to the beach, or hung as display pieces. They help support ongoing historical preservation work while also giving families and classrooms a simple way to engage with Hawaiian history.

This collection is designed and produced by Moʻolelo Kūʻiʻo with the goal of making history accessible, beautiful, and meaningful in daily life.
